The Dandenong Ranges Orchestra is for Strings, Woodwind, Brass and Percussion. Instrumentalists of all ages and abilities are most welcome to attend. Currently we have about 35-40 members covering most instruments but there are vacancies for second bassoon, second trumpet, second horn, trombone and in all string sections.
The orchestra was formed in 1984 and is still going strong.

We hold 4 concerts each year in venues around the Dandenongs.
Fees
$30 per term, plus annual DRMC Membership.
Rehearsals
Mondays, 8.00 pm - 10.00 pm, except school term holidays and public holidays.

Here is a short extract from 'Memorial' composed by Jacqui Rutten, a setting of Victimae Paschali Laudes, an Easter chant, in a pastorale featuring birdsong. This is a work of peace not war, and was premiered in the Dandenong Ranges, Australia where the traditional owners are the Wurundjeri. This performance was recorded by Timothy Lawrence, performed by the Dandenong Ranges Orchestra with Veronica Mitchell, soprano, and John Collins conducting:
