New Horizons Concert Band for Adult Beginners
It doesn’t matter how old you are, you can learn to play an instrument and have fun at the same time. Whether you have played a bit in the past, or simply never had the chance, the ‘NEW HORIZONS CONCERT BAND’, could be the start of a new experience of music. Members of New Horizons come from all walks of life. Some have never played an instrument. Others haven't played since school.
All of us love music and want the chance to 'play' with others.
* Learn to play for the first time or pick up where you left it years ago
* Take lessons with a small group
* Practice easy tunes with the band
* Have a good Laugh
The following instruments are on offer:
Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Saxophone, Bassoon, Trumpet, Trombone, French horn, Tuba, Euphonium and Percussion.
Some instruments are available for hire so they can be tried before purchasing.
The New Horizons Concert Band was launched by the Dandenong Ranges Music Council (DRMC) in February 2008 and has steadily been growing in numbers since then. Click here to download latest press release.When
Thursday 9am - 12noon which will include a group lesson on your instrument and a band rehearsal. Classes are term based.
Cost
$27 per week includes lesson and band rehearsal plus $22 DRMC annual membership fee
