In July 2005, Happy Wanderers celebrated their 12th birthday with a membership of 12 and 7 of the original members still with them.

We run an hour long program of group songs in brackets of three, interspersed with solos and duets. The songs are all old songs, some well known, others less so. The format has proved very popular, both with the clients and the members, and the group encourages audience participation. Our venues are mainly nursing homes, hostels, day centres and clubs. There is a lot of repeat work and our program is changed every month. We were already fully booked for this year by the end of March, for two days every week, which shows the popularity of the program, and we can only squeeze in others if we have a cancellation or are prepared to do a third day. In a normal year we do up to 110 performances.
