Claire Ransome (BMus Hons) offers fun and engaging Suzuki Method violin lessons to students of all ages at the Dandenong Ranges Music Council in Upwey and at her home studio in Healesville, Victoria.
Claire's love for playing violin blossomed as a child learning Suzuki Method in the Dandenong Ranges, Melbourne, Victoria. Claire began teaching violin in 2008 and is very excited to have come full circle and now be teaching Suzuki Method in the Dandenong Ranges and Yarra Valley herself!
In 2013, Claire graduated with a Bachelor of Music (Honours) from the University of Melbourne, where she studied violin with Deborah Fox and Phillipa West. Prior to that her teachers included Jason Leinkauf and Rosemary Walsh.
Claire has performed with many orchestras and small ensembles over the years. She has also pursued her love of music from across the globe by founding and joining world music ensembles, as well as completing honours level study in Ethnomusicology. This experience as a musician and researcher has provided Claire with a breadth of knowledge and skills in the field of music.
Claire is currently completing her accreditation as a Suzuki Violin Teacher and is pleased to be able to offer this inspiring method of music education to her students.
